Up to 80% of MyOwnMenu back via the デジタル化・AI導入補助金
Japan's SME digitalisation subsidy (formerly IT導入補助金) reimburses 50–80% of eligible IT costs — and from 2026 that explicitly includes cloud subscription fees for up to two years, not just setup.
50–80% reimbursed
Very small businesses (5 employees or fewer) can claim up to 80% under the インボイス枠. Larger small businesses get 50% under the standard 通常枠, capped at ¥4.5M.
Subscription fees count
The 2026 scheme covers クラウド利用料 — the monthly fee — for up to 24 months, plus implementation, training and support.
Reimbursement, not a discount
You pay the invoice; the subsidy secretariat pays you back afterwards. That's why we package the subsidy option as one 24-month invoice.
Joint application
A restaurant can't apply alone. Applications are filed together with a registered IT導入支援事業者 — we handle that side with our partner.

How the subsidy path works
- 1Tell us about your restaurant (2 minutes, below). No payment, no contract.
- 2We prepare the joint application with our IT導入支援事業者 partner and confirm the eligible bundle with you.
- 3Wait for 交付決定 (approval) from the secretariat. You must not sign or pay before this — we'll tell you when it arrives.
- 4Pay the single 24-month invoice by card and go live the same day: menu, QR cards, ordering.
- 5Submit the completion report; the secretariat reimburses 50–80% to your bank account.
Important: reimbursement happens after the fact and is not guaranteed until 交付決定 is issued. We never call this "free". Figures below are estimates; the secretariat's decision is final.
Questions
- Can I just subscribe monthly instead?
- Yes — the normal plans (¥0 setup, cancel any month) are always available and don't need an application. The subsidy path only makes sense if you want 24 months and can wait for approval.
- How long does approval take?
- Typically one to two months from submission, depending on the application round. We'll keep you posted on the subsidy application page in your dashboard.
- What if the application is rejected?
- Nothing is owed. You can switch to a monthly plan at any time.
- Do I get an invoice for the claim?
- Yes — Stripe issues a formal invoice/receipt for the bundle payment, which is what the completion report needs.
