Print your QR cards at a convenience store

Every 7-Eleven, FamilyMart and Lawson has a multicopy machine that prints PDFs you upload from your phone. A full run for a 12-table restaurant costs a few hundred yen and takes ten minutes.

Tips

1. Save the sheet as a PDF

  1. Open the print sheet (Tables & QR → Print all). Use A4, 100% scale, no "fit to page".
  2. Computer: Print → destination "Save as PDF".
  3. iPhone / iPad (Safari): tap Share → Options → choose "PDF" → Save to Files.
  4. Android (Chrome): ⋮ → Share → Print → printer "Save as PDF".

Check the PDF before you leave: each card should show the table name next to its QR code.

2a. 7-Eleven — netprint

  1. Install the かんたんnetprint app (no account needed) or use netprint.jp.
  2. Upload the PDF. You get a reservation number (予約番号).
  3. At the multicopy machine: プリント → ネットプリント → enter the number → choose カラー (colour) and A4 → pay at the machine.
  4. Kantan netprint files expire the next day; registered netprint files last about a week.

Roughly ¥20 per A4 sheet in black & white, ¥60 in colour. Prices vary — the machine shows the current price.

2b. FamilyMart / Lawson / Ministop — ネットワークプリント

  1. Install the ネットワークプリント app or use networkprint.ne.jp. Upload the PDF and note the user number (ユーザー番号).
  2. At the multicopy machine: ネットワークプリント → enter the number → choose colour and A4 → pay.
  3. No upload? Connect to the store Wi-Fi and send the PDF straight from your phone with the PrintSmash app.

Similar pricing: about ¥20 black & white, ¥60 colour per A4 sheet.

3. Cut and laminate

  1. Cut along the dashed lines. Each card is 90 × 55 mm, the same as a business card.
  2. 100-yen shops (Daiso, Seria, Can Do) sell self-adhesive laminating pouches (手貼りラミネートフィルム, 名刺 / A6 size). No machine needed — peel, place, press.
  3. Prefer a real laminator? Many 100-yen shops sell A4 pouches; some Kinko's / photo shops laminate for a small fee.

Laminate one card, scan it with your phone, then do the rest.

4. Put it on the table

  1. Acrylic menu stands (メニュー立て / カードスタンド) from a 100-yen shop keep cards upright and readable.
  2. Or tape the card flat to the table with clear packing tape over the laminate.
  3. Broke a card, or renamed a table? Print that one card again from Tables & QR — the others stay valid.

Tips

  • Colour looks best, but black & white scans just as reliably.
  • The QR code is 44 mm wide — big enough to scan from a seated position. Don't shrink the sheet.
  • Guests scan with the normal camera app. No app to install.
